Why a fake commute could pave the way to work-from-home balance

Many people no longer need to commute to their workplace due to the increase in remote work. Going on a fake commute, such as biking in the morning before meetings, can simulate similar effects and benefit mental, physical and social health. Suggestions on how to implement a fake commute include:
find the ritual that’s right for you;
be strategic about timing - and strive for consistency;
leave home if you can;
consider including your family;
practice role-clarifying prospection;
get serious about disconnecting.
