Educating future leaders
Participants in university courses are students developing themselves as leaders in our Bachelor, Master, and PhD programs. We aim for course participants to not only acquire knowledge, but to also build the confidence to apply it.
Numerous topics are covered, ranging from leadership styles, purpose, passion, individualized consideration and feedback, emotional intelligence, diversity and inclusion, organizational culture, foundations of human behavior, to research design, statistical and data analysis. Theoretical knowledge is complemented by insights from selected guest lecturers sharing lessons learnt at the frontline.
Innovative learning formats have included the UZH Global Summer School on Leadership in the Future of Work, the Building a Human-Centered Innovation Ecosystem course, the Building the emotionally intelligent organization course, and the UZH Future of Work Innovathon.
Educating current leaders
The CLFW runs a transformative leadership journey for the leaders and executives taking part in the two EMBA programs at the University of Zurich. In 2022, the first module of the program kicked off high up in the Swiss mountains in September. Under Prof. Dr. Jochen Menges’ careful guidance, leaders explored critical aspects of their own professional journey, actively practiced communicating your vision to inspire others, and set goals that they aim to accomplish throughout the journey. Alain Dehaze, former CEO, The Adecco Group, delivered an inspirational session on Leading with Purpose.
