Summary

What we found: Every day, millions of people face long commutes to work. While most people find commuting exhausting, we show that there are small tweaks that commuters can try to make their commute more enjoyable.

Why it matters: For many workers, commuting is unavoidable. But there are five strategies such as shifting one’s mindset or preparing for productivity which make commuting not only more productive but also less exhausting

What next: Learning about strategies to cope with commuting more effectively is important to support employees’ productivity and well-being. Organizations should support employees in shaping their commute by introducing them to different strategies which may help in making their commute more enjoyable.
