Building emotional resources in your business

Adressing the emotional aspects of work life is crucial to successful performance. Prof. Dr. Jochen Menges, Prof. Dr. Lauren Howe and Dr. Leander De Schutter asked textile workers to document their interactions with supervisors for 10 days. Results show that the small, seemingly unimportant interactions like laughing or greeting each other, have a big impact. Such experiences lead to a decrease in frustration, anger and disappointment and increased performance.
